What pathways are available to us after making a mistake?

How do we ground ourselves with integrity that honor ourselves and each other?

How can identifying relational patterns help us lovingly tap into our agency?

What rituals can we create that allow us to go at the speed of our bodies?

Who is this for:

BIPOC only

Together we will explore:

  • Our definitions of “mistakes"

  • Patterns/narratives that constantly pop-up

  • Possibilities of disrupting the pattern

  • Working with our bodies through dysregulation

  • Creating ritual when mistakes happen

  • Using art as vehicle for integration

  • Artist/Creative Facilitator

Tiffany is a Chinese interdisciplinary artist exploring collective liberation rooted in abolition. She believes that art is a powerful medium for embodied connection with both the self and the collective in the struggle against capitalism and colonialism. She facilitates creative classes, workshops and 1:1 sessions for folks to deepen healing through empowering relational consent and creative expression.

We all have our go-to narratives and patterns in coping with shame and self protection when we make mistakes. Especially as folks of color, empire conditions us to appease its standards or else our lives might be on the line. We are taught to hide, redirect, place blame, and to be frozen with shame when we fuck up.

During this intensive, we will be exploring ways we can carve out pathways for loving self-accountability. There is space for us to not be perfect. The question is how do we not continually betray ourselves and each other? This skill is so needed, because we can’t escape being in relationship with ourselves and other humans.

The goal is to be able to work with our bodies in a way that is grounded in love and integrity — not punishment and isolation. One of those ways we will be practicing this is by creating body-based ritual that will support us when mistakes happen (and they will!).

Hope you will dive in with us!

— Peregrine + Tiffany

“This workshop was so timely for me and offered so many tender reminders of the magic, beauty, power, and interconnectedness which exist within the intricate relationship we have with ourselves as well as to the land that holds us.

What I found fascinating was learning about the many bountiful herbs which I actually have access to just within my yard and which hold so many medicinal and nourishing properties that I was not aware of.

I walked out of the workshop feeling so inspired and refreshingly grounded, excited to learn more about holistic self-care practices involving reciprocal and tender communion with the land.”

Jenin J

“I felt so deeply supported in Tiffany and Peregrine’s ‘Making Mistakes’ workshop. Peregrine walked us through healing and cleansing rituals centered in forgiveness and self compassion. And Tiffany created space for us to reflect and honor ourselves and the people who have moved in and out of our lives. The entire experience was a gift.”
